Communities such as Umuahia North in Abia State vividly reflect this dual reality of globalization.

Umuahia North, as the capital of Abia State, is a hub of political, educational, and commercial activities. Its strategic location and infrastructural development expose it more directly to global currents compared to rural communities. H₀: Globalization has no significant effect on the socio-economic and cultural life of Umuahia North.

The temporal scope will cover the last two decades, a period marked by rapid globalization due to advances in digital technology and trade liberalization.
